That spirit, generous, curious, playful, and deeply collaborative, is what makes the Grow with Jane community so special.

This year, we’re celebrating it.

Welcome to the Grow with Jane Community Awards 2025, our biggest community event yet. After an amazing year of growing together, we’re honoring the growers who inspired us the most. From outstanding plants and bold experiments to thoughtful teaching, great photography, and uplifting community energy, it’s time to spotlight the people who help this space flourish.

Growing together: the meaning behind the awards

The GWJ Community is built on a simple idea: we grow better when we grow together.
Some growers teach through clear notes and honest reflections. Others innovate with creative setups or experiments. Some bring humor, kindness, and connection, reminding us that you don’t need a “perfect setup” to grow; you just need curiosity, patience, and a willingness to share.

We’ve seen growers turn simple topics into moments of learning.
We’ve seen friendly challenges bring the community together across countries.
We’ve seen creativity spark collaboration, and kindness spark confidence.

The Grow with Jane Community Awards celebrate all of that.

These five categories highlight the different ways growers contribute to the community and inspire others:

• The Grower: For the growers whose plants stood out and made the community stop and say, “wow.” Skill, instinct, consistency, their logs show what’s possible with dedication.
• The Teacher: For growers who transformed their growlogs into learning tools. Clear updates, detailed notes, and honest insights; their documentation helps everyone level up.
• The Pionner: For those who experimented boldly. Creative setups, innovative techniques, and curious adjustments, their work encouraged others to try new things and explore beyond the usual.
• Best Photos: For growers who elevate their logs through thoughtful photography. Clear, intentional images that show each stage of the grow and help others appreciate the craft.
• Spirit of Jane: This category honors the heart of the community: Growers who show up for others, share what they know, welcome newcomers, and remind us that we grow best when we learn, adapt, experiment, and celebrate together.
  • These are the growers who:
    • encourage everyone to use what they have and grow in their own conditions
    • create fun community challenges that strengthen bonds
    • spark creativity and joyful exchanges
    • keep the space kind, playful, supportive, and open
    • remind us that you don’t need perfection, just passion, generosity, and curiosity
