Calypso Fruit (One Shot Edition)

Calypso Fruit #4 (Rotten Tropicals Pheno)
🔍 Color: light green, spots with almost black anthocyanins, bright orange hairs
✨ Trichome Coverage: super frosty, big trichome heads
🌿 Bud Structure: dense but still nice and spongy
📝 Notes:
2️⃣ Aroma & Terpenes (8 points)
👃 Dry Aroma (smell before grinding): Super fruity, rotten/funky, some kind of rotten sweetness, sour fruit. In the backgroundi smell floral, dried fruit/fruit leather aromas
🌬️ Aroma After Grinding: aromas get way more intense, that kind of dried fruit/fruit leather is gone, full on fruit explosion, really sweet. Also now i can smell a lot of lemon and the fruit is more on the exotic side
🍊 Terpene Profile: fruity, lemon, rotten, sour, floral background
💨 Intensity: really strong smell
📝 Notes: Hard terpene profile to wrap my head around. Its really fruity and i think it is a really nice expression of the plants genetics. It is such a interesting rotten and sour, but still overwhelmingly fruity smell, I just cant stop smelling the jar
3️⃣ Flavor & Smoke Quality (7 points)
💨 First Puff: really smooth and thick smoke
🔥 Burn Quality: nice white- to light-gray-ash
🍭 Flavor Notes: mild flavor, sweet, fruity and surprisingly creamy
⏳ Flavor Longevity: long living taste on the tongue and lips
📝 Notes: In joints the flavor of this Pheno gets super intense after the first 4 to 5 pulls and gets more intense almost throughout the whole fatty. Its a really fruity taste. Lemon and tropical fruit in the top notes, the heart note gives a more creamy and sweet vibe without beeing really sweet in the actual taste, hard to describe. The base note leaves me with a kind of musky/flowery taste on the tongue.
4️⃣ Effects & Potency (5 points)
🕒 Onset Time: its quite quick with its effects i guess
📈 Intensity: strong
💡 Primary Effects:
✔️ Euphoria
✔️ Creativity
✔️ Head High
✔️ Energizing
⏳ Duration of Effects: normal
📝 Notes: Really euphoric and energizing smoke. Head high, no effects on body what so ever
5️⃣ Overall Impression & Conclusion
🔝 Final Rating (7 points):
🏆 Highlights: crazy bag appeal, super sticky and big trichome-heads, rosin (flower and drysift hash rosin) was absolutely banging.
⚠️ Room for Improvement: This was the actual weakest plant throughout the run, i am impressed how this genetics still delivered those great results. I lost a bit of quality due to not drying as long as i should have. I was out of weed an really lost my patients in the end.
💭 Would I grow this strain again? Yes 100%. There is still 4 beans laying around waiting to be popped. Probably will look “hunt” through those and keep a mother. If i can get my hands on another 5 or 10 pack i will probably get one, this genetic is truly special.
Chopping plant, hanging it as a whole, just taking off fan leaves
Goal: remove most of water content from surface of buds quickly. 48-72 hours.
Phase 1: Initial Phase (Days 1-3)
Goal: Remove excess surface moisture quickly to prevent mold.
Target Environment: 40-50% RH, 18-20°C, good airflow.
Buds lose most of their outer moisture, but inner moisture remains.
Checkpoint: Buds feel dry outside
Phase 2: Stabilized Drying (Days 4-7)
Goal: Slow down moisture loss to preserve terpenes
Target Environment: 60-65% RH, 18-20°C, reduced airflow.
Internal moisture moves outward evenly, avoiding harsh drying.
Checkpoint: Buds feel drier but stems still bend without snapping.
Phase 3: Slow Final Drying & Pre-Curing (Days 8-14)
Goal: Maintain stable RH to complete drying while beginning curing.
Target Environment: 60-62% RH, 18-20°C, minimal airflow.
Buds slowly reach final moisture content while chlorophyll breaks down.
Checkpoint: Smaller stems snap
RH: 40%-50%
Temp: 18°C-20°C
