Amelia Earhart

This grow log chronicles the journey of "Amelia Earhart," an automatic Sticky Orange XXL plant, from germination to its final curing stage. The grower meticulously managed the environment, starting with a single 100W LED and eventually adding a second for increased light penetration, while carefully adjusting nutrient mixes and watering schedules throughout the vegetative and flowering periods. Notable events include defoliation and trimming to optimize light exposure, and a transition to a specialized drying and curing process, culminating in a reported wet weight and final yield.

Took out some lower flower branches that won’t get much light over the next weeks.
Took out some fan leaves at the top.

Clips removed.
Defoliated for two reasons: To test it and see how it goes and to see the effect on the RH in the tent (it’s supposed to go down a bit or at least rise slower).
Tap water: pH 7.9 EC 0.5 with Nutrients: pH 6.3 EC 1.2
Added some clips to change some branch directions.
Set up dehumidifier to lower the RH to below 50% for upcoming flowering stage. That also increases the temperature in the tent by 3-4C.
Tap water: pH 7.9 EC 0.5 with nutrients: pH 6.4 EC 1.3
Removed all ground hooks.
Decreased light distance to increase DLI to 40.
Readjusted the ground hooks.
Tap water: pH 7.7 EC 0.5 with Nutrients: pH 6.4 EC 1.4 2500 ml would have been enough.
Decreased light distance to increase DLI to 35. Hope she grows into the recommended 40 DLI zone by herself this week.
Moved light down to get 25 DLI. I will keep an eye out for „Light Stress“, although DLI should be at 30 at this time. Preflower: Changed VPD to 1.1 by decreasing RH to 60% while keeping temperature at 25C.
Removed all clips and added more ground hooks.
Runoff water:
Tap Water: pH 8.1 EC 0.5 with Nutrients: pH 6.4 EC 1.5
Changed the position of some LST clips, removed and added some others to get an even branch distribution.
Re-fixed the stem break. Switched yarn for flexible plaster. Hope it helps plants as well as it does humans.
Removed one last leave that was old and useless.
First ever defoliation. Took out most of the first leaves on the first nodes as there were new leaves already sprouting a few days ago at those spots.
More LST with some clips to bend the leaves down and to all sides.
Stem broke from overbending and I had to fix it with some yarn. Fingers crossed she will survive!
Tap Water: pH 7.8 EC 0.5 with Nutrients: pH 6.4 EC 1.5
I bent her over!
Tap water: pH 7.7 EC 0.5 with Nutrients: pH 6.35 EC 1.1
pH 6.4 with nutrients
Lowered RH to 64 to get VPD to 1.0 kPa.
Lowered the light to reach 20 DLI
Water pH with nutrients: 6.4
pH 6.5
