I found out you are supposed to let the octopot go dry and then feed. I have been topping it off with a gallon each time and the water in the reservoir is pretty rank. I pulled the plant out of the reservoir, cleaned the reservoir and added fresh nutes to the top. If the roots look bad I add some hydrogen peroxide 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon to the spare reservoir the plant is in while I clean and make new nutes

I plan on using urea fertilizer to increase the nitrogen levels when needed. It seems that the fox farm does not provide enough nitrogen for every strain. It's time to start addressing deficiencies.
