Day 114 - Jun 13, 2020
Flowering Week 7
Tree Logs
Note
Today I pulled this one cos she was covered in ppwdery mildew, and wasn't going to risk the other plants. Have treated the plants and grow space with apple cider vinegar + water mix.. hopefully the other 3 will be OK for the next 2 weeks til harvest.. so close dont want to lose them now.
Day 110 - Jun 9, 2020
Flowering Week 7
Environment Logs
Note
So it would seem I've not done near as well as I'd have liked as the buds honestly seem a lot more spindly than I was hoping for - not as thick and juicy. Maybe its partially due to inability to currently keep the temperature swings low and in a range between about 20 to 25 degrees. Most likely it has to do with failure to properly feed/water would be my guess. Will need to improve on that next go round.

Flowering stage started!
Environment Logs
Note
Switched the light cycle timer yesterday so last night was the first night of the flowering stage.
Tree Logs

Note
Looking healthy as far as I can tell. Looked like maybe showing some of the same deficiencies as the big sisters but did show some small signs but as it stands now I think she looks OK. Will just monitor going forward. Otherwise she seems to be going well! Hope she produces well.

looking healthy enough. Treated for deficiencies with calmag and dr repair. Haven't really seen signs of any deficiency but it tends to take time to show up so hopefully I'm either beating it to the problem or treating the problem early. Will monitor and assess.

Day 47 - Apr 7, 2020
Vegetative Week 7
Environment Logs
Note
Due to a broken phone I haven't been able to do much tracking for the last week. But due to a power outage on Sunday and my failure to remember to set the timer back to correct for lost time, and so today had problems with the timing of the lights, and I am now unsure if it has caused any switch to flower or maybe hermaphrodites? Can only watch and monitor for now.

Vegetative Week 6
Tree Logs
Height56 cm
Note
Looking pretty perky and happy today. Will water tomorrow. Judging by the way they have perked up a bit maybe I was over watering.
Although now that I think about it, after getting defoliated, they perked up, so maybe underwater and perked up cos now there wasnt so much plant to feed?

Holy shit this is so confusing sometimes! 😖

No water today, soil seems to still be moist enough for the moment.. might look later and see if it needs some otherwise I will feed her tomorrow.

Day 31 - Mar 22, 2020
Vegetative Week 5
Tree Logs

Note
Fed her approx. 750ml of solution at pH6. Has come back well from the big water and defoliation. This one seems to require a little more than the GG4 at this point so may feed her a little more tonight.

Day 29 - Mar 20, 2020
Vegetative Week 5
Tree Logs
Height44.5 cm
Note
Seems to be healthy, has picked up a few centimeters, but seems to have done more brushing out than upwards growth.. has some nice branches that need to be tied out, and she needs a good defoliation again to open her up. Clearly it worked well last time, but I dont want to do so again prematurely. I want to promote more growth, not cruel other growth or kill it altogether.

Decided to feed her approx. 500ml of pH'd nutrient solutikn, as she was drier than the GG4. Funnily enough tho, the pot still seemed heavier than the other 2.. maybe it was just a mental illusion cos she is smaller but still as heavy? Dont know. Either way I decided to give her a water and see how she takes it. May not need another til day after tomorrow, but also as likely that she may want to drink more often now, as she is getting bigger, so need to monitor closely.

Day 28 - Mar 19, 2020
Vegetative Week 4
Tree Logs
Note
Not quite the smallest of my plants, but that seems to depend on the day (or the operator?) as she seems to compete with the gg#4 for which is tallest on any given day. Like the gg#4, but not quite as bad, she is still quite heavy 6 days after the "big water" last week. It raises concerns of root disease and mould or fungus etc. Will have to monitor for when she is ready for water again and try her with 500ml, and see how often she needs to be watered, or if more/less is required. Also need to employ some extra drainage options to avoid water logging and the like, conditions that promote soil and root mould and fungus.
Day 23 - Mar 14, 2020
Vegetative Week 4
Tree Logs
PH6
Note
After watering with 5 liters, I collected and tested the run off. Out of the 5 liters I collected 550ml run off. The run off measured 6pH, approx (the dropper and litmus paper isnt very accurate, but paper colour looked most like the 6 colour.) So I collected about 11% of the 5l in run off.

Then again now that I think about it I may not have given it enough time.. I think it was about 10 minutes when I came back for the run off, but there still appeared to be a little still coming out.. most appeared to be giving up no more than another 50-150mls.. but without measuring it's hard to tell.. will wait longer next time before going back to check.

That said, so far everything seems to be checking out.

Note
As with the GG#4, this ones ph is a little higher but still in a good range. Will hit this one with pH'd nutrient solution too and give it a good wetting. Monitor and adjust as needed.

Day 22 - Mar 13, 2020
Vegetative Week 4
Environment Logs
Note
Everything seems to be going alright at the moment but I am definitely going to need to get a fan real soon.. need much better air flow in this tent.. that said, for not having some of the basics, I'm pretty happy so far with the results, which will only improve with time and once I'm better equipped.
Tree Logs
Height28.5 cm
Note
Looking good, have many more branches appearing, could add to the 2 this one already has.. will need some more stakes.
Actions
Watering

Currently watering daily, depending on the look of the soil.. nutrient solution applied around the base of the trunk from sprayer.. no measurement except the 4ml/1l nutrient solution, just watering "by eye". Seems to be working well enough at the moment.

Still only the 2 tie downs on this one, but both growing very well. Overall plant looks happy enough, but now seems to be getting outgrown by the tutankhamun which has traditionally been the slowest growing one of the 4. Again, not sure if maybe had been overwatering and if the change in watering has made a difference or not.. will monitor to see how she goes..

Day 16 - Mar 7, 2020
Vegetative Week 3
Tree Logs
Height19 cm
Note
Sometimes I'm not sure if this plant likes to "hunch" a little day to day or what.. not gaining much height on a daily basis, st least that's how it appears, with her crooked stalk. I've tried to correct it by tieing it to a support. It came to me crooked and bent, I had hoped that by tieing it up it would help it grow straight up instead of crooked but it does not seem to have had the desired effect. But having seen this on this plant is it possible I can use a method to forcibly to to my bugger plants what has happened to this one, and stint the upward growth of the main stem? Worth looking into at least..
Otherwise she looks healthy enough.

Vegetative Week 3

Note
Mixed full strength veg nutrient solution today, 4ml/1l. In doing so I realized I have been making a very very weak batch til now, instead of just a more mild mix. I was mixing 3ml/5l previously, making it approx. 0.6ml/1l, about 14.3% of the full strength, instead of the approx. 30% or 1/3 strength mix I had intended. Still, I dont think it has been a problem initially since the potting mix was mixed specifically to suit cannabis and would likely have provided more than enough to make up for a weaker nutrient solution. Will see how they go moving forward with this full strength mix. They still seem to be doing well with the amount of water I'm giving them, which at this point is approx 4-500ml a day.

I had thought to try training this one today, but as with the tutankhamun, it seems to be too small/delicate for me to begin such a process, especially with my lack of knowledge/skill/experience. I may just let's these 2 grow as they will for the most part.

Everything seems to be going pretty well overall.. getting good growth as far as I can tell, a few cms over a few days on average. Have added a timer for the extraction fan, giving it a 15 mins every hour break.. will see how it goes. Planning to get a pedestal fan soon to aid in the circulation of the air in the tent and give the plants a bit of a breeze.
Tree Logs
Height14.5 cm
Note
While looking healthy enough as far as I can tell it seems to me this one is not growing as well as the others.. maybe because it was kinda bent out of shape when I got it and some of its energy has been wasted trying to straighten up? I have tied it as best I know how but couldnt be too firm or I'd end up harming the plant.. will see how she goes going forward..

Note
Having done a bit of research, I've determined that I have likely been giving them too much water, but they are in 5 gallon/20 litre buckets, and having watered the whole thing, I can only assume for now (or at least hope) that the pots are voluminous enough to allow the clones to take what they need without drowning them or promoting negative results. Will reduce watering to 250ml as needed - every other day suggested - for the rest of this first week. Have noticed some small growth, need to get a ruler or tape measure to take height measurements and record growth rates, may help me stay on top of things based on the plants daily progress.

Need to get some basic instruments to keep track of climatic conditions in the tent, as I currently have only subjective notions of things like temp or humidity. Hopefully I am successful enough this grow to make sure I am better equipped next time round.

Note
Finally got it all up and running today and it seems to be doing ok.. seems to have good air flow and I have that bit of negative pressure but I'm only drawing air out not pushing air in as I keep ballooning. Have 2 inlets open to allow some air flow in due to the extraction fan's draw. Plenty of light, seems pretty stable temp wise for now. Will monitor how it goes. But quite happy with it at the moment.. let's see how it goes..

Note
Bought the clones today, this one in a sponge-like block filled with a dirt medium. Transplanted block into geocloth pot. Gave 2 waterings - approx 1.25l each - with an "invigorator" nutrient given to me by the shopkeeper to help the clone settle and establish well in the new environment. This feed to continue for 5 days. Nutrient mix is at 10ml/10l. Discovered my tap water sits around 8 (or at least high 7s) on pH scale. Need to address this issue asap.
This clone seems a little miserable, its it's kinda stunted and misshapen looking, but it did seem to respond and begin standing up a little straighter once I had it planted and under the light for a few hours, so hopefully it will continue this trend and be upright in a week or so.
