I bring the temp of the water down to about 62°F in the fridge. Then I use aerator stones to bring the oxygen levels up. At 68°F I pH to about 6.4 and feed.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I am successfully growing plants that have been in different stages in the same closet. I just used dli to keep the lights right. If you don't you are not accounting for the light given off by the other lights. This will cause problems such as burning your seedlings.
