Pero no es as\u00ed.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entender qu\u00e9 mide el EC, qu\u00e9 no mide y c\u00f3mo evoluciona con el tiempo puede ayudarte a evitar tanto el exceso de nutrientes como las carencias, y a tomar decisiones m\u00e1s fundamentadas durante todo el ciclo de cultivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es la EC en el cultivo de cannabis?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CE son las siglas de \u00ab<strong>conductividad el\u00e9ctrica\u00bb<\/strong> en espa\u00f1ol, tambi\u00e9n se usan EC, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En pocas palabras, la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) mide <strong>la capacidad del agua para conducir la electricidad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El agua, en s\u00ed misma, es en realidad un mal conductor. Lo que permite que la electricidad circule por el agua son part\u00edculas cargadas disueltas, llamadas iones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el cultivo de cannabis, esos iones proceden principalmente de:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sales minerales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fertilizantes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El agua contiene calcio y magnesio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nutrientes disueltos en la zona radicular<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuantos m\u00e1s iones disueltos haya, mayor ser\u00e1 el valor de la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso los cultivadores suelen usar la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) como medida indirecta de <strong>la concentraci\u00f3n de nutrientes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" mide la <strong>concentraci\u00f3n total de iones disueltos en una soluci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ejemplos de sustancias que aumentan la EC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nitrato (NO\u2083\u207b)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potasio (K\u207a)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calcio (Ca\u00b2\u207a)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magnesio (Mg\u00b2\u207a)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Iones relacionados con el fosfato<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La mayor\u00eda de los fertilizantes minerales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero la CE tiene algunas limitaciones importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No te dice qu\u00e9 nutrientes contiene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dos soluciones nutritivas pueden tener la misma conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) y perfiles de nutrientes totalmente diferentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el EC tampoco refleja adecuadamente muchas sustancias, entre ellas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fuentes de nitr\u00f3geno a base de urea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Az\u00facares<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Melaza<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Algunos compuestos org\u00e1nicos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eso significa que una soluci\u00f3n puede contener materia y, aun confusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EC es la medida real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las unidades PPM (partes por mill\u00f3n) y TDS (s\u00f3lidos totales disueltos) son <strong>valores estimados a partir de la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada contador usa unos factores de conversi\u00f3n distintos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ejemplos comunes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Escala 500 (conversi\u00f3n de 0,5)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Escala 700 (conversi\u00f3n de 0,7)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ejemplo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un valor de EC de 2,0 puede aparecer as\u00ed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1000 ppm en un medidor de escala 500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1400 ppm en un medidor de escala 700<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La misma agua. La misma conductividad. Un valor diferente en la pantalla.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso, a veces los cultivadores comparan los valores en ppm y piensan que algo va mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La medici\u00f3n de EC evita esta confusi\u00f3n porque es la unidad de medida universal en la que se basan todas las conversiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el agua pura tiene una conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) muy baja?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El agua destilada y el agua de \u00f3smosis inversa (RO) suelen presentar valores de conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) extremadamente bajos, ya que se han eliminado la mayor\u00eda de los minerales disueltos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El agua muy pura contiene muy pocos iones capaces de conducir la electricidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso, los cultivadores que usan agua de \u00f3smosis inversa suelen tener que a\u00f1adir nutrientes y, a veces, calcio y magnesio adicionales antes de regar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El agua del grifo se comporta de forma diferente seg\u00fan el contenido en minerales y la alcalinidad de cada zona.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure el\u00e9ctrica (CE) se suele usar como indicador pr\u00e1ctico de la concentraci\u00f3n de nutrientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En general:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cuanto mayor sea la EC, m\u00e1s sales disueltas hay y m\u00e1s concentrada es la soluci\u00f3n nutritiva<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A medida que aumenta la concentraci\u00f3n de nutrientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La presi\u00f3n osm\u00f3tica aumenta<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Las ra\u00edces se esfuerzan m\u00e1s para absorber agua<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cambios en la disponibilidad de nutrientes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Si se mantiene dentro de unos l\u00edmites adecuados, esto favorece un crecimiento saludable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fuera de ese rango, empiezan a surgir problemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 una conductividad el\u00e9ctrica muy baja puede ser un problema?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una CE baja puede parecer m\u00e1s segura, pero una concentraci\u00f3n de nutrientes que se mantenga demasiado baja tambi\u00e9n puede frenar el crecimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando las plantas reciben menos nutrientes de los que necesitan, pueden presentar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hojas p\u00e1lidas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Menor vigor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un crecimiento menor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Desarrollo lento<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deficiencias iniciales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Es muy habitual que la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica (CE) sea baja cuando los cultivadores alternan demasiados riegos con agua sola as\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando la EC sube demasiado:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A las ra\u00edces les cuesta m\u00e1s absorber el agua<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pueden aparecer quemaduras por exceso de nutrientes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aumenta el estr\u00e9s radicular<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Algunos nutrientes empiezan a competir entre s\u00ed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Puede producirse un bloqueo de nutrientes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Si la concentraci\u00f3n de sal es demasiado alta, el agua ya no llega tan bien a las ra\u00edces, aunque el sustrato parezca a\u00fan
