They were brought out for a few hours, under direct sunlight, and placed back underneath the glass as rain approached.
Soil: Moist 3 inches deep. Plant #3 seems a bit drier to the touch; but based on the meter, it’s still wet. I’ll keep an eye on them…
I observed a microscopic inche worm crawling, and a tiny dead nat, on Plant #1. It was crawling on a leaf, located in the middle of a Bud. I removed them both with tweezers, and checked most all others. No others spotted. The worm was light badge, with dark brown speckled spots, and brown/gold streck streaming down it’s back. He didn’t eat much, but did try. Will keep an eye opened…
Temp: 81/67 degree Humity: 84% PH Levels: Moisture: #3 seems a little dry. Will check back on them later in the day.
08:30 Took the girls from under their shelter, and in direct sunlight. 2d day after feeding, looks good. Plant #2 leaf’s seemed kinda stressed, from the underwatering earlier in the week.
Trimmed a few leafs from each plant, to increase sunlight deep into the center.
Added pipe cleaners to specific limbs, to train them to grow in an angle that allows young baby buds (stacked on top of mature buds) to get sunlight, streatch and grow.
- Moisture levels seem normal. They stayed out under the stars last night. Visibly, the soil’s appearance seemed dark and moist. Several primary leafs are beginning to turn slightly yellow. More and more seen each day. I removed the majority of them, but not too much. I mainly removed those that were covering; or shading, new bud growth.
- Placed in Direct Sunlight!
-
Trimmed most all primary large leafs; not related to producing buds, and those beginning to turn colors. This will help maximize nutrients too the Bud… At this point, defoliation is becoming a daily chore… Saving clipping for Cannabutter later….
- No pics today! Nutrients present!
- The soil seems dry 3 - 4 inches deep. Some more than others. So I fed them each 4 cups of nutrient water, with 8 week formula.
- Plants remained under the stars tonight…
Each plant seemed to be visibly dry, and moisture 3 - 4 inches deep. Each were given approximately 4 cups nutrient water each…
Used Fox Farm nutrients to hydrate. Soil was visibly dry, and didn’t hit moisture until about 3+ inches deep. The pot had also gotten much lighter, over the past couple of days. So they were each given approximately 4 cups each.
17:30 Plant #2 has rehydrated. Some damaged leafs, but the buds seem okay. The soil seems to be drying quicker than before. If 3 + inches dry tomorrow, I’ll feed/water.
Pipe cleaners added to Plant #2. After yesterday’s underwater incident, recovery identified a couple of branches needing redirection.
NETTING!!! Added string web netting over cages, to help the bud during harvest. No pics yet!
Drinking fast now! Last fed 3 days ago… 1st 4 inches of soil dry. Pot’s are much lighter. Fed each pot 8 cups of nutrients; and 2 cups additional purified water, for extra moisture.
Nutrients are evendent! The tops are bright pale yellow/green. Large leafs deep green. Soil moist, but not wet! The buds are plentiful. The Gorrila Glue buds grew quickly last night. I did a bit more trimming, to help the sun come in…
08:30 PH Level Check
09:00 Additional Trimming completed, to increase the sunlight into the center….
Added Cages!
Continuing to flower. Fed each plant with the Fox Farm Trio, @ the 5 week mark. I fed them correctly, but miss read the PH level. I thought it was higher than it actually was. So I gave it some diluted (about 1 cup each with water) PH Down solution. After I put on my glasses; I realized that in the beginning, the PH level was actually correct. I screwed up! The PH Down, lowered my PH level a bit (between 6.0 to 5.5) Monitoring! Can’t give anymore water.
1400 Decided to cage each plant. I used tomatoe cages for each pot. After which, I removed most all pipe clearner’s, and readjusted my Limb BONZI Training… Once completed, I again trimmed back A LOT of the unnecessary foliage. This will allow more sunshine to reach deep inside the plant, reaching the new leafs and bud’s…
5 Week Feeding! This was the first full feeding of the Fox Farm Trio. An error was made reading the PH levels during the process. PH Down was mistakenly administered. The PH level dropped from 6.5, too between 6.0 and 5.5. Will continue to monitor.
BUDDING!
The flowers are really starting to come. All be one strain, is really producing well. I’ll play it by ear on feeding. the next feeding will include much more fertilizer. Being VERY cautious…. Check out the BUD Pics!
NOTE:
Don’t begin training too soon. Allow the new limbs to toughen up and grow a bit, before training. Also, shield them from wind, until strong enough to handle it.
1/3 of the bottom half of plants continue to be trimmed - towards lollipoping. One limb damaged, while trimming. It had been trained with a pipe cleaner, and the wind bent it back too far. It wasn’t a clean break. It was splinted, and doing well…
I still had several original leafs growing on the lower part of my plants. They were not producing any new buds, branches , or limbs. These were REALLY large leafs, that was sucking up nutrients. The Great Experiment Continues…
TRIMMING Today! Waiting to see the effects from nutrient consumption yesterday.
*Placed each plant on top of a 5 gallon bucket; to help elevate towards the sun, and get further away from ground bugs.
*All but one plant has started Flowering. I watered each plant with 4 cups of water infused with nutrients, and one additional cup of clean water.
No pictures today!
I did a bit of lower limb clean up, almost the beginning of lollipoping the branches. Basically removing useless leads. This should help to concentrate nutrients where needed.
0800 This morning’s weight seemed lighter than last night; but after checking with the meter, they were not ready for water/nutrients. The soil looked really dry on top; but by a finger’s touch (3 - 4 inches deep into the soil), three were fairly moist and one was still in the wet zone. I’ll check back later in the day. Expecting heavy rain saturday.
12:00 Just noticed a significant change. Our 1st sight of flowering. Two plants (I think Gorilla Glue) have started flowering. I hope they get bigger quick, because my plants have gotten big yet… The other two are there yet. They’re still kind of small…
16:00 Okay, the flowers seem to be growing before my eyes. So I decided to do some more trimming. I trimmed all the small leafs located on the lower main stalk. I’m hoping that this will concentrate the nutrients in the upper areas that bud.
I trimmed all small leafs, and a couple nonessential leafs from the lower half of the main stalk
The larger branches of each plant was tied down or wired, to redirect or bend downward to maximize the amount of sunlight inside the plants branches and limbs. I used pipe cleaners and tomato wire to shape and bend them. Unfortunately; I had one casualty, during the process. Oh well! More for the butter….
Today, I used pipe cleaners to bend and twist the new limbs/branches, to open the middle up to more sunlight. Unfortunately, I lost one limb during the process. They are VERY delinquent, so be care the next time.
Transplanted all four plants into 5 gallon bags… I used Fox Farm Happy Frog Potting Soil, combined with about 1 cup of dried egg shells. Fox Farm Big Bloom (6 tbsp) and Big Grow fertilizer (1 tbsp). I mixed the nutrients in 1 gallon of purified water. Once combined, I feed each plant with 8 cups (1/2 gallon) of the nutrients. I also added about 1/2 cup of dried egg shells to the soil mixture, before transplanting. I later added approximately 2 - 3 more cups of purified water.
1530 A quick shower appeared, lite rain. Plants taken inside, and placed in grow box. All yellowing has disappeared. Photosynthesis!!!!!
UPDATE:
1. Took pics, and asked my local nursery about the sudden yellowness…. LOL I hit the Panic Button! The plants are healthy. According to the nursery, the yellowing is normal for new growth. A combination of things happened last night. 1st: I fed them more nutrients. 2nd: The were brought inside over night without light. 3rd: They grew like mad during the night. I think the lack of light; combined with the nutrients, caused them to grow rapidly, and without light caused the yellowing. They are HEALTHY!
Placed back outside in direct sunlight. Seems to be greening back up in the sun. No need for the PH Down.
I checked moisture. Still in the moist zone, but getting lighter in weight each day. Due to the heat (92+ degrees ); I decided to water with nutrients and Cal/mag - still half strength. Plan to go full strength (3 tsp) tbsps), the next feeding. * I went ahead and feed them anyway… 2 cups nutrient water, per plant
UPDATE!
I received the Fox Farm Trio, and decided to feed them.
Plant #2 seems to be lacking something. It’s starting to slightly turn yellow on the center leafs. I ordered Fox Farms nutrient 2 pack. scheduled to arrive saturday.
Full sun most of the day. Multi spec light thereafter. Third set of leafs beginning to appear.
- 12 hrs direct sunlight
- 12 hrs multi spec light
The stalk of plant #1, appears to be thinner//smaller at the bottom, just above the soil line. I backfilled enough soil to add additional strength and support from the wind. I’m hoping to increase the root base of each plant. No additional water was added. Placed back into direct sunlight.
WATERED! All 4 plants seem dry 2+ inches deep. PH levels between 6.0 - 7.0. Used Distilled Water, to feed deeply, allowing for overrun. Drained quickly, so I reused the runoff for a second watering. Drained quickly.
No action, thought plants had died…
Really growing fast now! I’ve kept them either outside in direct sunlight, or inside a small grow box with multi-spectrum (red/blue) light. Placed outside under FULL SUN. Heat Advisory today 96 degrees, no rain, very humid… Pot weight: Still kinda heavy from water during transplanting on Monday. Will check weigh later today, before deciding on water. Really growing fast now. QUESTION: After the pot weights lighten up, how much water should I add? Please comment on new pics posted today! Take care…. 14:15 I swear they are growing right before my eyes. Loving this heat,91 degrees….
No action, thought plants were dead. Not! Plants allowed 9 hours direct sunlight, then the next 15 hours in the grow box - 24 hrs total light exposure.
NOT DEAD!!!!
Autoflowering….
I began with 6 seedlings on two weeks ago. 2 died, and the other for grew really slowly. Two of which stretched almost 4 inches. I thought they were all dying, so I stopped logging in. I was wrong! After replanting, all three began to bounce back. So, I’m starting up again - from this point forward. Please take a look at these photo, and give me some feedback. They’ve be through a lot. I built a make-shift grow box using cardboard boxes, NASA Blankes, and a cheap multi-spectrum grow light from Amazon -$19.00. The plants have been getting about 12 - 16 hours direct sunlight, and the rest in the box… I’ve used Fox Farm Happy Frog soil mixture, and distilled water. I haven’t feed them with any nutrients. Advice from this point is DEFINATELY appreciated….

PLEASE SEE NOTES: I’m a newby, still trying to figure EVERYTHING out….
Lightly sprayed top of soil, but not too much. Plant #2 (smaller 1st grow) felt liter, so I sprayed it twice as much.
