12 onces of manicured bud 7 onces of trim & small bud
Curing trim
Added a dehumidifier to the tent & managed to lower the humidity
Started our 48hr darkness pre harvest. Really looking forward to the harvest
Saw evidence on zinc deficiency on C & D, added our nutrients with the most zinc in again. Will revisit tomorrow & hope it has changed
Trimmed our roots
Day 9 Flower
Day 7
New shroud arrived & was installed
Truly switched to flower
Added 2nd SCROG net
Changed light cycle to 16hrs on & 8hrs off
Large shade leaves taken
Impressed with how well the girls have taken to defoliation & LST. All 4 have produced some lovely, big green leaves. All have pushed lower branches to reach the canopy & no wasted effort in put into unnecessary sites
1/4 of normal nutrient mix
TANK CHANGE
Spread out the branches of A & D to prevent shading
3L fresh water
Fresh water added to tank
Pulled A, C & D to opposite corners of the tent. Hopefully light will penetrate the canopy that's developed & shine on lower branches
Fresh water added to our water tank to bring the ppm down and combat evaporation
Upped light to 600
2 lower, large leaves were taken to reduce the load on D
2 more leaves removed to remove blistered leaves
D is looking droopy, a green healthy plant, but definitely droopy. All the others are thriving in the tent, even C (popped at same time, but still a week behind the other 3) has turned a corner into a healthy young plant. After some discussion as to what D could be lacking, we decided to put a rotating fan in the tent to create a gentle breeze. We have ruled out nutrient deficiency, light too far away, not enough water and rest period timings. We are hoping this breeze encourages D to strengthen her stems in preparation for future bud sites
Tap water
We created our own ring feeders because D was showing signs of underwatering. We also changed our feeding schedule from 15mins watering to 30mins to ensure that D gets the right amount of water for her growth
Due to sediment settling to the bottom of our water tank, we decided to add an air stone with an air pump to our tank. We plan to use this combo at high speeds to continuously mix the water to prevent sediment settling. As this pump isn't for fish, we decided against a check valve for the tubing. This set up will need rinsing at the same intervals as the water pump in the tank
1ml/L
Realised we had overloaded the nutrient water when the plants started yellowing after 24hrs, so changed out the water before permanently damaging the girls
Moved girls from humidicrib to individual pots. Jiffy pucks in the centre of clay balls. HPS light at 400 watts, on for 24hrs. Portable Aircon unit pumping into intake vent
Watering every 4hrs
We have set up our watering system and pots. We are using the Ebb & Flow hydroponic technique. Our individual pots sit above the water tank, with the outflow pipes aiming at our water tank as a way to reuse the water and nutrients. We have a water pump inside our tank (fish grade) attached to our watering tubes, which are positioned through the pot edge and aimed at the base of our Jiffy pucks. This position is to provent soil blow out. We intend to implement a ring feeder system for a more even water displacement in the next stage. Our water pump is attached to a 24hr timer which activates the pump every 6hrs for 15mins of full water flow. We originally tried a 4hr watering period, but believed it was over watering our girls and didnt want to stress them out. We have managed to organise the water pump to activate 15mins before our HPS light turns off for a 6hr rest period, which means that they are watered again right before the light turns back on.
