Decarboxylated the 1oz of trim in the Ardent Flex. Reduced the weight to 0.75oz. Set up tincture with Everclear PGA 500ml.
Nota
May have trimmed a little early. The buds were more moist than I thigh and were sticky in the jars with humidity well over 70%. Put al the buds on a tray and moved them to the basement for the day - 39% humidity down there. Buds were drier and went back in jars. Hygrometers showing ~52% humidity and 70F. I’ll monitor overnight and put humidipacks in tomorrow or adjust accordingly.

No water today (4 days since) as both plants are still a little damp down to the 1st”. It’s been cool and dry down here during the cold snap.

Did a little bit of defoliating on each, maybe 2 leaves on the cherry, 5 on the lemon. Lemon will likely have the smaller yield here so I’m trying to expose as much light as possible to bid sites without stressing the plant further

See todays environment notes for other details. Removing the 5gal bucket/heater made a huge difference in humidity, and temps are inching a little higher as well. Soil temp is at 63.xF, almost 6 deg higher! And the RH is staying in the high 40s low-mid 50s. Removed 1 wooden dowel to let the plant tray edge rest on the mat. Moved lights up 1” (42” off canopy) and keeping brightness as is. Setting room dehumidifier to 45 appears to help as well. Opting to wait 1 more day to water.

Removed the 5gal bucket with aquarium heater. Not sure it was doing that much and certainly wasn’t helping the humidity. Put in a 20”x 40” seedling heating pad, laid plants in top of two small wooden dowels on top of mat. Mat is controlled by thermostat with a probe in the cherry blossom soil, and set to 78F. Current temp was 57.8F despite the ambitient tent temperature in around 61F. Plants look otherwise healthy, the cherry even more so. Also set basement humidifier to 45%

Nota
10:20 bucket of water is warm, both the water and the bucket material. Temps last night remained in the mid 60s which is good but not sure of that was the bucket or ambient temp impacts. Still see taco’ing and some light tips, no praying. Raised lights as high as possible; they’re now 43” about the lemon pie canopy, which was out a 2” raise. If I took the lights off the metal cables and just used nylon cords, could probably get another inch higher but I don’t think that’s necessary
Nota
16:00 clearly seeing the impact of the warm bucket water. I can see the humidity rising along with the temp on the Govee therm/hygrometer. That’s showing 68F/70% humidity (bottom fan is also running). ACInfinity unit showing 72F/63% humidity and that probe is about 1’ above the Govee. It was showing lower temps earlier today and I was concerned that raising the lights was impacting temps at the canopy. Seems ok though.

New nute mix! Saw what I think is a calcium deficiency on the Lemon Pie. Added GH Cal-mag to this mix: 3Gal H2O, 7.5ml cal-mag (important to add this first to te water), 22.5ml Gro, 15ml Micro, 7.5ml Bloom.

Also raised the lights again to keep the canopy 15” from below.

20:45 check the plants and both looked droopy on top. Pulled the lights up about 10” and moved the brightness down just a teeny bit from like 6 to 5.8ish. We’ll see. Temp in there was 71F and 49% humidity.

21:45 moved the bottom fan onto the floor so that it wasn’t blowing directly on the leaves of either plant. Could be the twisty activity on the e cherry blossom was due to wind. Hard to say if the leaves “awayl from the beeeze weren’t affected as I rotate the pants every few days to ensure equal light.

Lowered the lights down about 3-4”, and increased the intensity to 6, per Matt’s advice last night. He said to get them way down so they’re only a few inches from the top. But I don’t want to freak them out in one go. If things look ok tomorrow, I’ll drop another few inches.

Looking ok, definitely growing at a good clip but the top leaves are twisty.

New batch of nute water! 1.5L each with visible runoff from both. pH going on was 6.62. Didn’t measure outbound as last time was fine

Created new nute water batch: 3 gallons H2O with 22.5ml Gro, 15ml Micro, and 7.5ml Bloom. pH ~6.54.
DID NOT water anything today with this mix.

Watered in as part of transplanting but only saw a little bit of runoff. Could definitely hear the water running through the new mix though. Would’ve added more but ran out of the nute water batch.

Prep’d a 5gal smart pot (Vivosun fabric pot) with 30% perlite mixed with FoxFarm CocoLoco soil. Definitely a loose mix! Don’t know exact measurements but it was 50 spade scoops of soil.

Also, now that the furnace is going on in the cold weather, noticing that the humidity is dropping quite a bit.

pH of the water today was a little above 7. Added a teeny bit of pH down to get it just over 6.

Good run off. Looked like she could use a little attention. Still not looking as heathy as I think she could but doing way better than before. Maybe transplanting tomorrow to a 5 gal with her lemon pie sister

Moved the bottom fan to the tent floor so that there was a somewhat direct breeze in the plants. Lemon pie is probably ready for transplant at the next watering. Estimating 2 days from now.

Calibrated new pH pen and tested nute water. It’s good at 6.6ish. Tested runoff with the dropper and color chart; looks in the same range so I’m assuming the medium isn’t altering pH

Nute water from a measuring cup this time. Saw a little run off. pH in was 6.6ish, and coming out it was the same - by color test. Not enough runoff to test with the pen

Nota
Made a new nute mix (2.5ml each of Gro, Micro, & Bloom: 50% recommended amount of mild vegetation stage) based on my suspicion that the plants have a nitrogen deficiency. Light green leaves always at the bottom and moving up, where new growth is dark green. There’s no yellowing at the top, no “taco-ing”, or leaves pointing up indicating light burn. No adverse reaction to E300 light at the adjusted height.
Nota
Also moved the plant tray about 6” in towards the center, from the corner. See if they can tolerate a little more direct light

Nota
Medium is drying out but slowly. My guess is that the plant isn’t taking up water that quickly, that’s it’s being overwatered, especially by the constant droopy/hangy look of the small leaves.

Raised V300 LEDs about 2’ and increased brightness to ~50% power. This is based on advice from the Electric Sky Co where the seedlings need to be used to the brightness. Keeping the height lessens the intensity, however, but allows for the plants to get to know what kind of environment they’ll be growing in.
