Possible evidence of some sort of small pest on several fan leaves: one instance of a chewed leaf, approximately 2 weeks old; a few small brownish particles, no larger then a grain of sand, which quickly fell from two or three leaves upon being disturbed.
No sign of insects or other foreign life in soil. One small flying gnat(?) seen flying above the canopy, but it could have entered when the tent flap was opened. No moths, spiders, grasshoppers, or roaches present.
