She’s starting in a 1 gal pot with a mix of CoM Stonington Blend and a pint of vermiculite, with a solo cup sized seed bed of CoM seed starter. She’ll eventually be moved to a 10 gal Rain Science bag, filled with 8 gals CoM SB, 1 gal Coco, 1/2 gal Pumice, and 1/2 gal Perlite, blended together with 6 tbs Mykos.

16 weeks old, Day 113, week 9 since flip. In addition to the previously mentioned nitrogen availability issue, I believe the ongoing yellowing leaves at this point are normal late-flower fade as the plant pulls nutrients out of older leaves to finish the buds. Flowers are still developing well with good structure and frost. Soil moisture and environment are steady, no signs of stress. No corrective feeding applied to avoid delaying ripening. Focus remains on calyx swell and trichome maturity, not leaf color. At this point I’m watching bud ripeness, as the plant naturally winds down.

15 weeks old, day 106, 8 weeks since flip… cola’s looking healthy, stacking nicely. Fade throughout as previously documented. I realized yesterday that I have been making a mistake in lighting since I went to 12/12. I use the Photone app to measure on my iPhone. I have been neglecting to adjust the hours down to 12 so have been reading DLI for 18 hours of lights on. Took a reading with the hours properly adjusted and read 25.1 DLI, way low for this stage of flower. I bumped lights up to 8, getting a PPFD of 648 and DLI of 27.9. That still seems low but planning to give her a day to adjust, see how she does, and will consider lowering an inch or two to get DLI above 30.

So over the last week she went into a heavy fade. I asked ChatGPT to provide a summary of what happened: Early whole-canopy fade resulted from a nitrogen availability gap in early–mid flower while relying on slow-release organic top dresses. Under stable VPD, strong light, and good moisture, plant demand outpaced microbial mineralization, leading to premature depletion of internal N reserves. Late corrections could not reverse chlorophyll loss. Lesson: large photoperiods in organic soil need a short early-flower nitrogen bridge before visible fade to maintain canopy health through mid-flower.

13 weeks old, day 92, 6 weeks since flip… I saw what I would call minor damage I would attribute to the UVB overexposure I posted about last week. Did some light defoliating this morning. See environment in pics, lights are at 20”, set on 7, DLI 35.2, PPFD 544. UVB still Off, will consider reintroducing that in a few days. From her feed Sunday, soil moisture currently at 51%, took a day or so to balance out, then start a down ramp. Hoping to see over the next 24 hours that 7-9% daily drop I was seeing before this feed, see graphs… 🌱😎

I think she’s showing improvement already from raising the lights. She needs to drink up so I can feed her what she needs. ChatGPT recommends I wait until I get to 42-44% on my moisture meter, currently at 56 from a peak of 61 after my last feeding.
