So it would seem I've not done near as well as I'd have liked as the buds honestly seem a lot more spindly than I was hoping for - not as thick and juicy. Maybe its partially due to inability to currently keep the temperature swings low and in a range between about 20 to 25 degrees. Most likely it has to do with failure to properly feed/water would be my guess. Will need to improve on that next go round.

Had a drier pot (as did its sister) than the other 2, so I fed her a little water today to tide her over til tomorrow and water all 4 a full measure tomorrow. Will likely only feed water and no nutrients. Nutrients will be fed every other feed til about the end of week 6, then I will stick with straight water. I think I will also stop feeding the bloom nutrients now as I'm using the bud booster. Some reading suggests reducing any nitrogen input at this stage as it is not being used as much and will only lead to toxicity and yield reduction. The only nutrient I will feed during the final weeks is going to be the terpene/trichome booster in pH balanced water. Ideally it should still provide a good flush as well as boost the overall potency and resin yield at the same time, allowing for good yield without the loss of flavour and quality.

Hopefully. Will have to wait and see.

first update in a bit.. first day of flowering, with first 12 hour dark period last night. First water and feed of flowering, 3l of a solution of cali magic, Dr repair, greendream bloom and green planet massive bloom booster. Seems to be doing alrite, since the introduction of the CALiMAGic and Dr Repair seems to have begun showing less signs of the deficiency. After the trim the other day, seems to be a reduction in purling of the trunk and stems, the new growth doesn't seem to be showing the same signs of tip bleaching or hooking. Will watch going forward and see how she goes. Hoping to see signs of vigorous flowering over this next week. Should be a good sign that she is healthy enough. At this stage, seems to be wanting 3l every other day, or every 3rd. I think I'll see that increase with the flowering growth as the plant surges to produce energy for flower production.

finally got my calmag, and today fed her 2l of solution with cal+mag, iron+zinc, and veg nutes. Will see how she goes now, hopefully those signs of deficiency will begin to reverse over the next couple of weeks, but most likely ill be switching to flower before I'm really sure it has worked.. will just monitor and assess.

appears to be showing signs of deficiency, and going by the descriptions, its to do with a magnesium deficit mainly, being symptomized by a slight yellowing of the intervenes spaces.

Due to a broken phone I haven't been able to do much tracking for the last week. But due to a power outage on Sunday and my failure to remember to set the timer back to correct for lost time, and so today had problems with the timing of the lights, and I am now unsure if it has caused any switch to flower or maybe hermaphrodites? Can only watch and monitor for now.

Also decided to try fimming this one.. will find out soon enough if it worked or not.. if it does, may have to consider cutting some of those bottom branches as they arent near as big as branches higher up.. if they arent gonna produce decent buds its not worth wasting the energy on them.

Not sure if I should water her today or not.. all the plants seem to have perked up a little so maybe I have been overwatering. This one hasnt perked up as much as the other 3 tho.. so is this one getting too much or not enough? Will see how she goes today, see what shes like tomorrow, water her if she looks sadder, maybe wait if she looks happier? I dont want to stress them too much with holding out on water, but I want to make sure they need it too so I can avoid overwatering.

After the stall out after the big water, I was a little concerned, but about 14cm in 7 days is good! Has regrown a lot of foliage after the last defoliation.. think she will be ready for another very soon.

Decided to water today, went with 1l of pH 5.8-6.2 (going by litmus strips), with 5ml of nutrient (because I only have a 2.5 and a 5ml measurement). Soil felt pretty dry and didnt really want to clump at all, seemed to me to be too dry, so gave her a feed. Soil pH test came out at 6. Might follow up with about half a liter of plain water to flush tomorrow, or the day after maybe.

Havent watered since the "big water" almost a week ago, but still seems "wet" have been checking every day, and checking the weight of the pots over the week. I'm a little concerned that not needing a water for so long I may have created an environment for root rot or mould/fungus.. but plants dont seem to be showing any discoloration or excessive wilting or anything like that that might suggest serious issues - yet. Will check again tomorrow morning and throughout the day as I think this one will need watering soon. Seems to be the thirstier of the 4 at the moment.. makes sense being the biggest I guess.

Watered with 5l of pH'd (6pH) nutrient solution, collected run off. Run off return was 400ml, or 8% of the initial volume. pH read at 6. But as with the others I may have jumped the gun a little, and next time will wait 20 mins or so before checking the run off, in the hope's of getting a more accurate reading/assessment.

Otherwise seems to be going alright. Ranges seem to be fine, now just to get the watering amount right. Then I should be pretty dandy. Pretty happy with it as it stands. Will monitor and adjust as needed going forward.

Got a soil pH test kit today.. so far looks like soil ph is in the sweet spot. So according to the info I was given, it would appear that over or under watering may well be the problem.. I'm guessing under as I was parceling it out in smaller doses maybe than I should have. Gonna water with pH'd nutrient solution @ 5l, flood the pot and let it drain then check then later for run off and weight, and see how they respond in a day or 2. If they're right and I am under watering, hopefully this will correct the problem and get them back on track.

Everything seems to be going alright at the moment but I am definitely going to need to get a fan real soon.. need much better air flow in this tent.. that said, for not having some of the basics, I'm pretty happy so far with the results, which will only improve with time and once I'm better equipped.

Not sure what to do at this point.. she is growing well, already have 7 tie downs at the bottom of the plant, and now have several large "branches" and fan leaves further up.. should I train them out, or remove them for more light clearance to the bottom?

Currently watering daily, depending on the look of the soil.. nutrient solution applied around the base of the trunk from sprayer.. no measurement except the 4ml/1l nutrient solution, just watering "by eye". Seems to be working well enough at the moment.

7 branches staked, waiting on an 8th to be big enough to tie down. Need to research a method of stumping the main trunk to some degree in order to slow its upward growth while the branches "catch up". Otherwise she seems to be going well.. averaging approx 1cm a day. But at this rate they will be dangerously close to the light anywhere between 8 and 12 weeks from now, which probably wont be a problem since they're auto flower anyway, I think.. they will do their thing when they're ready.

Mixed full strength veg nutrient solution today, 4ml/1l. In doing so I realized I have been making a very very weak batch til now, instead of just a more mild mix. I was mixing 3ml/5l previously, making it approx. 0.6ml/1l, about 14.3% of the full strength, instead of the approx. 30% or 1/3 strength mix I had intended. Still, I dont think it has been a problem initially since the potting mix was mixed specifically to suit cannabis and would likely have provided more than enough to make up for a weaker nutrient solution. Will see how they go moving forward with this full strength mix. They still seem to be doing well with the amount of water I'm giving them, which at this point is approx 4-500ml a day.

Also, today I am going to begin attempts at training, and possibly trimming, some branches in order to spread out the plant and try for a greater yield area.

Everything seems to be going pretty well overall.. getting good growth as far as I can tell, a few cms over a few days on average. Have added a timer for the extraction fan, giving it a 15 mins every hour break.. will see how it goes. Planning to get a pedestal fan soon to aid in the circulation of the air in the tent and give the plants a bit of a breeze.

Having done a bit of research, I've determined that I have likely been giving them too much water, but they are in 5 gallon/20 litre buckets, and having watered the whole thing, I can only assume for now (or at least hope) that the pots are voluminous enough to allow the clones to take what they need without drowning them or promoting negative results. Will reduce watering to 250ml as needed - every other day suggested - for the rest of this first week. Have noticed some small growth, need to get a ruler or tape measure to take height measurements and record growth rates, may help me stay on top of things based on the plants daily progress.

Need to get some basic instruments to keep track of climatic conditions in the tent, as I currently have only subjective notions of things like temp or humidity. Hopefully I am successful enough this grow to make sure I am better equipped next time round.

Finally got it all up and running today and it seems to be doing ok.. seems to have good air flow and I have that bit of negative pressure but I'm only drawing air out not pushing air in as I keep ballooning. Have 2 inlets open to allow some air flow in due to the extraction fan's draw. Plenty of light, seems pretty stable temp wise for now. Will monitor how it goes. But quite happy with it at the moment.. let's see how it goes..

Bought the clones today, this one in a grow wool block. Transplanted block into geocloth pot. Gave 2 waterings - approx 1.25l each - with an "invigorator" nutrient given to me by the shopkeeper to help the clone settle and establish well in the new environment. This feed to continue for 5 days. Nutrient mix is at 10ml/10l. Discovered my tap water sits around 8 (or at least high 7s) on pH scale. Need to address this issue asap.
