I have today brought two led under lights that I have been watching on Amazon. They will be here in the next couple of days.
50w I think should help the lower buds to get more light as they as full spectrum led.
Am happy as hell I got this far & I am already thinking about my next grow, am going to do all the same strain so I can control the height of the plants better. Growing different strains without researching their individual growth patterns, has proved troublesome for me, being my first ever grow!
My grow has ended up with three different heights of plants but all in the same growth faze & all the same age?
I am going to take cuttings from my next grow & continue that for two or three crops. I want to grow enough bud to last 24 months, so it's not intence up & down the stairs & cleaning out the hydroponic system every seven days etc.
Bloody hard work time for me with my spine damage & very very painful! But it has got up more than anything else has over the last 8yrs! My daily step count in set at 2100 up from 750 then 1000. My condition since using Cannabis have improved greatly but it's a day to day thing.
Some days are better then others but the pian does not go away just varies in intensity!
I DO NOT DRIVE & SMOKE CANNABIS THE SAME DAY..TO ME THAT IS AS BAD AS DRINK DRIVING. SMOKJNG THE NIGHT BEFORE IN MODERATION IS FINE.
It's like heavy drinking the night before getting arrested after blowing a fail! Cannabis has the hangover affect, not using Cannabis before my injuries has made me able to feel the effects the next day.
I use a moderate amount per month but I value my life & the lifes of everyone else on the road & in public! I will happily take a police course on driving a motorcycle the day after using Cannabis & show them how it's done!
EC low this morning @1.3 added Canna A&B 30ml each EC up to 1.5. pH steady at 5.9
Water & mute change over, plants are showing cannabis pistils for the development of flowers, am surprised I even got this far with my first crop. Next time it will be one strain of cannabis not a mixture, it's be difficult to keep them at the same height!
Water & nutes tested daily before 1200 pH5.8 EC 1.8

Tested this morning as usual since switching to flowering a few days ago now, not much going on in the tent yet. All plants look like they are still growing, I did read about 7/14 days after switching they should show signs of trichome I hope? Have increased air circulation with rearranging the fans & power levels. Tent smells inside already, I can smell the sweet candy type smell from the Kali 47 just from the foliage! The Amnesia Haze is still going very strong but has been over taken by the Kali 47 in height, I did FIM all the plants & used LST on them. This was my first attempt at this & I think I could have done better with it, the aim is to keep the canopy at the same level & highet with all the plants inside the tent. Unfortunately Kali 47 is a dominant young lady😊she is very strong & has the thickest stem of all the ladies, followed closely behind by Amnesia. I still have the Heavy Bud inside the tent, I was goive here another week & see if she developes any trichomes, if any bud development at this late stage would be a bonus. She has two string cola potentials might strip her to those two only. She has always been far behind the others but she has developed a strong pair of branches. At this late stage any viable bud she will stay, poor then she is off.
On the very day 50th vegatative stage I have switched to flowering time scale.
Am now lights on at 0000-1200 due to summertime in my location on the world fast approaching, temperatures can rise close to 40°c, so lights on at night till mid-day is good for me.
First light on period of flowering is tonight at 0000.
Let's hope this part goes ok!

Changed to flowering time scale just now so lights on at 2400-1200 as summertime is approaching fast, daytime temperature goes high round this way anywhere up to 40°c at peak time. Had a trim of lower branches, that was hard chucking away all them possible clones....😫 But this is my first grow & I have enough to deal with as it is. I was not as brutle as I should have been, have seen a lot closer shaves online to plants.... Will see how they go. Was culling my Heavy Bud today as she is behind the others, but she has a couple of viable colas that could develop, she is not diseased or lacking any nutrition. Just alsway been behind & light coloured leafs? Have pictures. So she has a few days reprieve, is she buds as quick as the other ladies... well she can stay over a bit longer... Always better with three..😬!
EC 1.8 pH 5.9
Had redo the EC again adding more water, either the plants are sucking too much of one of them, EC level 2.7 lowered it to 1.8 hopefully that will hold! pH 5.7.
Had to drain some water from the tank, EC was crazy high 2.4 does not normally do that on a standard clean & refresh? Have replaced with fresh water only & got the EC down to 1.8. pH is steady after bringing it down to 6.2 will check again in the morning as usual.
Tried to make the canopy the same height, one branch on the Amnesia almost snapped off small split in it, hopefully after reading online it's a minor injury, so fingers crossed!
Have increased the water times to one 15minute feed every 3 hours. This has helped the plants too, so saying it's all down to bird song is a bit much at the moment.
Will see how they carry on veging for another 10 days or so before switching to flowering mode 12/12 lights.
Well did not think I would make it this far, well not still with three good young ladies to accompany me!
Lost one very early on Critical seedling, her sun leafs one got stuck on the husk of the seed pod, I did try free it by air, did not want to try to much.
She developed a single second set of leafs this stunned the growth, then the next set where deformed & had no normal pattern of growth?
Her one leaf showed signs of something wrong to me, so I pulled her from the grow. Have pictures of her but I was not going to take the risk of infection of the other strong plants.
pH 6.3 EC 1.6/1.8 need an accurate EC pen!
Just read online about keeping the black drippers upto 3cm above media, so have adjusted, plants look better already with the flood feed😊 Went with 2cm above media for drippers, have set timer for one 15 minute feed every 3 hours, with an 8 hour break in at night.
Tank changed new water & nutes, discovered that the pots are really dry & light, the plants are showing water stress not enough. Have put the Wilma on for 1 hour feed to soak the Coco, will change to 15 minute feed every three hours, will see what that does, was going for four 30 minute feeds per day but after reading online I think that is too long. So am going for more frequent feeding still at 15 minutes per feed instead of 4×30 minutes. Just checked the system at 38 minutes flood feed, damp showing on Coco around dripper, have now changed to feeding every 3 hours for 15 minutes, last feed just before lights out, first feed at lights on.
REMEMBER FEED THE PLANTS WHAT THEY NEED WITH WATERING, DONT STICK TO ONE SCHEDULE!
Will try a few hours a day for a three or four days & see how growth goes with the plants!
Changed over to four feeds per day one 15 minute cycle every six hours.
Need to change to every five hours four times per day first at lights on. Will change tomorrow.
😡Ffs don't normally have fluctuation in EC as large as this, left it @ 1.7 just checked now on 2.3, just taken some mixture out of the reservoir & replaced with water only. Checked again & it sunk down to EC @ 1.0? So added some more A&B Canna now back up to 1.55, am leaving it for another hour then check again. pH was @ 6.9 now stable at 6.5 will also check this again in an hour before the afternoon feed. 90 minutes later just checked the system again pH steady @ 6.5 EC fluctuation again now @ 1.5 to 1.6 first feed of new water & nutes now due, had to adjust the EC again adding more bloom & A&B, will check it again later before the last feed of the cycle today.
Water & nute changes done today, cleaned whole system out as normal.

It's all a learning process at the moment, I hope to have a good result from this grow, only time will tell. It's my very first grow for Cannabis & I researched it well in advance of even trying to germinate a single seed!
Have tired to keep everything dialed in as close to optimum as I can, pH, EC, RH all within thresholds for strains & growth cycle, changing water & nutes tomorrow. Fans working inside tent to keep the air moving & prevent rot, C02 bag been in for about 3 weeks now or longer.
Got some big old fan leafs spreading out inside the tent, trying not to use defoliation, untill vegetable stage is a few weeks away from light timings change & we go into flowering stage.
I must admit this has kept me busy, gave me more exercise than I would normally get in a day & I am not leaving the house because of Covid. It's interesting too learning all this new information on growing Cannabis, my new best hobby.
Plus it will help my pain as this is the only reason I am growing. Was recommended for a Cannabis prescription but my GP refused to issue it or help me to get it. So am growing for my own personal use, not for anyone else or for sale!!
I have had my grow tent & everything to go with it well over a year now, have not started before now as I was holding out for legal Cannabis from the NHS, no chance of getting any unless I pay over £650+ per month for private prescriptions?
Chronic pain is not a joke it has forced me to break the law in England, it's like we live in the 17th century when it comes to controlled drugs, like it's part of witchcraft!
Yet the doctors will not think twice to pump you so full of opioids, until it sucks your life away from you, before you know it. Been there seen it & done it, I am lucky to be alive after my opioid addition on prescription for 8 years!

So the other two plants that are further down the drip feed line were not getting a true watering. Not enough pressure to force the water through to the drip peg.
Changed the tap last night to the correct position, am now hoping for explosive growth.
Beginners bad luck, water pH has been perfect, same as EC, struggled for weeks trying to find out what was wrong with the other two plants ffs!
Took off some dry & dying leafs from nute burn first few weeks, new grow much healthier.
Had to remove a couple of liters of mixture & replace with clean water that has been standing for about 6 days to rid it of chlorine.
Topped all three plants today, now two weeks before LST begins.
38 days left in veg stage.
RH is still tricky to manage even with fan controllers, am trying to maintain 40/70 RH have increased the output of the RH unit. It is on for 15 minutes per hour as this is the most economical way of using it in the tent.

Checked water today am leaving it another day maybe more before I change it out for fresh, plants doing really well am impressed. All three looking strong & healthy so can't complain, nutes holding steady at EC 1.3, pH holding 5.5
Lesson learned don't think everything you get in a grow tent 'bunlde deal' is up for the job! Check all your kit before starting the plants!
Discovered today why my plants are showing signs of over watering & nute burn, brought some time plugs thought all was good! Little did I realise till today after trying everything else to rectify this deficiency in the plants. After checking the timer on the hydro system I found that it is not a 15 minute segment timer but a 20 minute timer only three pegs per 60 minutes FFS! So swapped it out for one with four legs per hour 15 minute timer 96 settings within 24 hours. The plants were getting two 20 minute feeds per day when it should have been two 15 minute feeds. You can imagine the extra water & nutes have taken a slight effect on the plants. I spotted it about 5 days ago but did not think about the timer, now I hope it will be the end of this learning curve! I seriously thought it was EC or pH related, my EC was slightly higher then recommend at 1.7 lowered it to 1.3 but it does fluctuate a bit. I guess it was EC related too much nutes for young plants in one go about 150ml too much per feed.
Noticed some discoloration in fan leafs, not all have this se curling leaf edges, some droop but not much.
Am hoping this will fix the issue in if not next step is too drain the tank flush the system with plain water good run off needed. Then start all over again with fresh mixture with nutes.... Wish me luck!

Then some LST (Low Stress Training) get my branches down to equal heights & try my Scrog for the first time too! Fingers crossed it will go well!
Am thinking of cloning when I top the girls, have most bits to do that (Jiffy Plugs etc), just need a seedling tent or whatever they call them with a second light source, also with some air movement etc, till I can crop & clear the main grow tent?
But the 'Heavy Bud' is a few days behind the other two, think it was transplant shock that kicked in with her, have had one over watering occurrence with just her? I spotted it immediately as I just moved them up to three auto feds per today from 2 with the 'Wilmma Hydroponics System'.
So reduced it back to 2 feeds per day, plant was back to normal next morning from limp leafs, was happy I knew what it was. If it had happened a few days after the nute/water increase, I might not have seen it so obviously.
Reading up on this subject of growing Cannabis in a grow, mediums etc + tent atmospherics, has paid off more than once already.
During the first week or so after transplantation from Jiffy Plug, I spotted that one plant looked suspicious & was deformed (see pictures), she also had spots it seemed on the one leaf she produced.
I pulled her (Critical) on day 9 as she was way behind the others & if she was poorly I was not taking the chance of inflecting the whole crop.
If I had not researched about these sort of things, being a 'first time hydroponic grower' I would have tried to save her & cut off my nose to spite my face! But with hydro you can save your plants from any number of problems within hours it seems (as you all know I am sure🤣).
So reading up on Cannabis cultivation indoors controlling the optimal atmosphere in the tent, plus pH & EC etc, gave me the confidence to make a decision & stick to it!
Even have a 'Ram' humidifier 4l capacity, maintained 50/70% RH for the seedlings & first stage of veg. Lowering it slowly during each stage (another growing essential I would have missed if I did not researched the subject first!).
As for the 'Amnesia' she is having a competition with 'Kali 47' to see what one takes the growth record before topping. Both are very healthy & sprouting out all over the place just a couple of days pass & they look like different plants!
Not complaining lol!

pH checked daily staying at 6.2 been stable since using other pH down product.
Heavy Bud was showing signs of over watering, leafs were drooping, changed back to twice daily water & now she is back to normal with the correct leaf structure over night.!

Nutrient tank 10 day clean was surprised to see algae in the tank, after using "Dutch" product for stopping this I was not expecting it. Otherwise I would have done a 7 day clean not left it till 10. This why I brought the product so I can swap my cleans if I need too. Cleaned & bleached the whole system today, fresh water that had stood for 72 hours to remove Chlorine. System now back up & running clean added extra "Dutch" stuff, will keep an eye on it this session. Problems with humidifier & time clock. I out the thing on yesterday to do its thing forgot to move back to timer setting & it was very damp in the grow tent this morning. So in I killed two bird's with one stone, & cleaned the whole grow area & equipment fresh. P.s will get the complete name for the "Dutch" stuff tomorrow!

pH levels stabilised at last was the Canna pH down that was not cutting it, using another brand now much better control.
Changing pH up liquid seems to have improved the pH overall, tip "don't bother with cheap pH up treatment"
pH remaining high 7.88 so swapped out 1.5ltr of nuit water & replaced with fresh plain water. pH now 5.7 after more pH down added as well. Plain water pH is 4.6
PH up all the time but this is 'normal' according to online help!

Realised today that on timer switchs down peg is on up is off ffs! Been flooding my pots for a few days...plants looking good seem to be not affected!
Constant fluctuation in pH all day, been difficult to diagnose, think I have it I was warming the water tank with a seedling mat, on intermittently. Water temperature reached over 25°, soon after trying to correct the pH for the forth time in a day, I realised that something was wrong. I have turned off the heat & waiting to see if this stabilisers the pH.

Three seedlings doing well one slightly behind the rest, had to remove the shell to help the plant spread.
Watered few drops on Jiffy 7c. Wrong size plugs need larger for next time. Drying quickly.
Humidifier on once every hour to try & maintain 70/80 humidity.
Several drops of water for each pellet as they seem a bit dry.
Temperature a bit high 30°c aiming for 25°c now on 15min timer for 24h
