It's coooollllldddd in the basement-- even with the heat lamp and a blanket over the gap between the doors, I can't get it much above 60°. So I think about it a while. I'm watching my fave garden channel on YouTube where he speaks of using heat sinks to keep plants warm that need it.... and I realize that if I fill up a pitcher of hot water and leave it there with the plants, it will radiate heat and help warm up the space. So that's what I do and yay! We are 68-70° now. The basement itself has probably given up all its heat and could now be called a cold sink..? is there such a thing? Anyway, I'm glad to have this easy trick in my bag.
