Notes

Reusing living soil from my last grow, moving from a 5 gal bag to a 7 gal bag. Recipe: Prepped my reused 5 gal soil (including roots), adding: 1.5 qt pumice (aeration), 1.5 gal (about 7 qts) Coast of Maine Stonington soil, 2 cups worm castings, 1 cup charged biochar, ½ tbsp gypsum, 2 tbsp Mykos (mycorrhizae), 1 tbsp Azos, 1 tbsp CoM Kelp Meal, 2 tbsp CoM Stonington Blend Plant Food, 2 tbsp Stoned Dust Mixed soil in a big bucket (20 gal). I dropped in a moisture sensor, she was at 25%. I added and mixed in 2 liters of RO/spring mix. Let it soak in overnight, mixed it up again in the morning, then filled a 7 gal Rain Science bag, embedding a moisture sensor in the soil. Added water to bring soil moisture to 45%. I also used a 24 oz drinking cup as a spacer for the Seed Starter seed bad. That sat for about 2 weeks. I removed that spacer cup, dusted the hole with Mykos, then filled it with CoM Sprout Island Seed Starter.

Gave her the 20 ml around the seedling as I’ve been doing, but felt it time to start adding some ‘maintenance’ doses to the pot so it doesn’t get too dry, added 200 ml around the outer perimeter. Included a first dose of silica in that watering. She’s looking strong, moving her to veg…

I removed my spacer cup and filled the hole with CoM Sprout Island Seed Starter and moistened the area. After a few hours soil moisture raised to 42%. I soaked a FastBuds Banana Purple Punch R3 seed in a shot glass of RO water with about a 1/2 tsp of hydrogen peroxide for about a day, it sank.

This morning I planted the seed about a 1/4 inch deep, gave the area a spray of RO water and covered it with a dome. Set my light to 1 at 12”, at this point primarily as a heat source. Other environment parameters shown in pics.
