Reusing living soil from my last grow, moving from a 5 gal bag to a 7 gal bag. Recipe: Prepped my reused 5 gal soil (including roots), adding: 1.5 qt pumice (aeration), 1.5 gal (about 7 qts) Coast of Maine Stonington soil, 2 cups worm castings, 1 cup charged biochar, ½ tbsp gypsum, 2 tbsp Mykos (mycorrhizae), 1 tbsp Azos, 1 tbsp CoM Kelp Meal, 2 tbsp CoM Stonington Blend Plant Food, 2 tbsp Stoned Dust Mixed soil in a big bucket (20 gal). I dropped in a moisture sensor, she was at 25%. I added and mixed in 2 liters of RO/spring mix. Let it soak in overnight, mixed it up again in the morning, then filled a 7 gal Rain Science bag, embedding a moisture sensor in the soil. Added water to bring soil moisture to 45%. I also used a 24 oz drinking cup as a spacer for the Seed Starter seed bad. That sat for about 2 weeks. I removed that spacer cup, dusted the hole with Mykos, then filled it with CoM Sprout Island Seed Starter.

Evening update… gave her 2250 ml of my RO/well water mix, treated with 1 drop BMC and 1/2 tsp FS, applied with 250 ml in the tray and 2 liters on top over 3 passes…
Continuing to open and shape canopy
Top dressed: 1 tbsp Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food, 1 tbsp Fish Bone Meal, 1 tbsp Kelp Meal, 1 tbsp Stoned Dust, 1 cup EWC
By evening moisture was down to 33% so decided to give her another drink. Gave her 250 in the tray and 1350 on top, divided in two passes 30 minutes apart.
250 ml in tray, 1350 on top
Placed a stake behind the main cola to guide growth. Started gently pulling down other branches that are starting to stretch…
She responded well to the tip yesterday, pulled her over another inch or so this morning…
250 in tray, 750 on top…
Decided to start LST with the first gentle bend.
300 ml of RO/spring water mix on top in the outer 2-3”.
200 ml around the outer couple inches of the pot, 20 ml in about a 2” ring around the stem.
I started with 250 ml of my RO/spring water mix in the tray, continuing the maintenance on the pot, based on how quickly the pot sucked it up tells me it was needed… also added 20 ml in about a 2” ring around the plant.
Gave her the 20 ml around the seedling as I’ve been doing, but felt it time to start adding some ‘maintenance’ doses to the pot so it doesn’t get too dry, added 200 ml around the outer perimeter. Included a first dose of silica in that watering. She’s looking strong, moving her to veg…
She’s doing fine this evening, dribbled 15 ml RO water at about a 2” radius… measured DLI at 14.9.
Dribbled 10 ml of RO water at about a 1” radius.
I’m setting up for ‘summer hours’… lights out at 1:00 pm, back on at 7:00 pm… lights out during hottest part of the day… going to be in the 90’ next few days… summer is here…
Dribbled 10 ml of RO water in about a 1” radius around her.
This morning I planted the seed about a 1/4 inch deep, gave the area a spray of RO water and covered it with a dome. Set my light to 1 at 12”, at this point primarily as a heat source. Other environment parameters shown in pics.
